Creative person must not only entertain, also build values: Aamir Khan

Close encounters set the stage for unexpected revelations. And during an evening of free-wheeling conversation with actor Aamir Khan at Express Adda in Mumbai Wednesday, several Bollywood myths were busted.

The balmy evening and eclectic gathering witnessed the superstar elaborate on his life and work — re-establishing the openness that has come to be his hallmark.

He revealed he is not into gadgets, wants to go back one day to theatre, that he signed Rang De Basanti even though wife Kiran Rao was not convinced about it then, and that he can’t stop crying when he gets affected.

“The responsibility of a creative person is not just to entertain or engage, but also to bring grace to society, build values in people... It makes people ponder over issues and hopefully builds social fabric. That’s what I have been doing or at least trying to do,” said the actor.

When he travelled across India around the time of 3 Idiots’s release, Khan said, it threw up interesting results — including that people in several parts of India were not familiar with him. That’s when he realised his films were not reaching out to a lot of people. Nearly three years later, he managed to bridge that gap through Satyamev Jayate.

However, Khan said, what surprised him was media criticism for “not saying anything new”. About his “aversion” to award ceremonies, Khan said: “In my heart, I need to have value for a certain award or platform. If I don’t have that, then I don’t criticise it but stay away from it.”

SRK, Farah, Deepika reunite for a song Of 'Chennai Express'.

According to media reports, Farah Khan has been roped in by director Rohit Shetty to choreograph a special song for his film 'Chennai Express'.

SRK and Depeeika will once again dance to the tune of Farah Khan in their upcoming film 'Chennai Express'.

Reports suggest that the song will be shot later this month.

The number, composed by Vishal and Shekhar is already gaining momentum as it will have 'love mera hit hit' written all over it.

It remains no wonder that the film is all set to hit the popular list, especially with this special number by Vishal-Shekhar, bringing along the reunion of SRK, Deepika and Farah.

Added to this, the film also brings Rohit Shetty's masala flick.

Dabangg 2 Movie Review

Director :   Arbaaz Khan
Music :    Sajid-Wajid
Starring :  Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill, Vinod Khanna and Prakash Raj

Rating- 2 stars

World May not get destroyed on 21st December,2012 but Bollywood sure Will see its doom With The Latest Release "Dabangg 2". I Got A Message From My Friend That "U Should Take Fevicol with You if u want to watch Full Movie. That's The Only Way That U Would Stick to Your Sit." Initially I Didn't Take It Seriously But After Watching The Movie I Think My Friend Was Right. Few years ago, we Experienced pleasure from World Class Action & VFX movies Like Krissh , Dhoom 2,Don 2,Ra.one ; By keeping this in mind, it is quite impossible to say that we have patience to Tolerate This Movie(Dabangg 2).Not just those Action movies which set our standard higher. Quite recently We watched Some Extraordinary Scripted social Movies Like English Vinglish,Oh My God,Barfi. They simply leave Dabbang 2 behind.

The problem is in the movie’s story which simply makes us feel like we watched nothing at the end. The concept was extremely basic and that is, good guy beats the bad guy and then romances with his lady love. Just as we watched in the first part, ChulBul Panday takes from the rich and gives away to poor. So What this means is that if you watched Dabangg you will not require watching its second part. It is all the same. Only if the movie was directed uniquely we could have at least got some form of entertainment from such chewing gum like concept.

Well,Director-producer-actor Arbaaz Khan to be honest is not a bad replacement for Abhinav He Did His Best What He Can Do With A Poor Script. The movie itself has nothing new to offer. On the top of that the directing work of Arbaz khan sharpens it to become like student film. Yes, that odd it is! The songs on the other hand are more efficient in putting audiences to sleep. They do not have the hook that today’s songs have.

The story is not new as it’s  characterization which makes some points. Things begin with a Kanpur kidnapping, and since Khan's Aviator-collaring Chulbul Pandey lives there now, short work is briskly made of the kidnappers. The action sequence as already told doesn’t need any brains and so the story   .

They strongly emphasize that Sajid Wajid duo does not have the strength and creativity to produce anything as extraordinary as the albums of 1920 Evil Returns, Khiladi 786 and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. In brief, Dabangay2 lacks everything that can attract all from the mass. But yes, anyone like Salman Khan fans and illiterate about the true fun of movies probably will watch it.

Well Dabanng was known for Salman Khan and in no doubt the sequel will also be remembered for him. With tongue twisted conversation and extremely great comic timing, Salman again shines the screens. We all have seen earlier that his aggression speaks a lot and let us tell you we are serious when Pandeji comes in action. His style of romancing Rajjo is also enjoyable.

Yet the big question is will Dabang2 really get repeated audiences? The content signals a big no. What Dabang 2 offers could have been hit back in the 80’s. We are now at a point in time when same kind of script, unrealistic fight effects and bar songs do not get tolerated by the masses. So it is likely for Salman Khan to not touch the hight of success he has been expecting through this film.

What Is Good-:Hillarous Dialogues Of Salman Khan & Prakash Raj
What's Bad-: Well, I have Written In The  Review
Watch Or Not-: Watch If U Are a Salman Khan Fan

Dabangg2 loss and profit Calculation

Now After The Maker Sold The All India Theatrical Right In 100 Cr now its a Big Question That How The Distributors will Recover It.

All India  Rights In 100 Cr So Dabangg 2 will Have to Cross 185+ Cr to recover this amount of 100 Cr and It is also Important that Film Collects More Money in First week Because In first week Distributors will Get 55 % of Total Business.

Dabangg 2 Have to Do At Least Below Kind Of Business to Recover Money For Distributors and anything more then it then they will earn Money.

First week - 105-110 cr then Distributors will get 60 Cr(55 %)
Second Week - 45 Distributors will get ----------- 23 Cr (50 %)
Rest Weeks -- 40 Cr --------------- --------- --- 17 cr (45%)

Total 190 cr then Distributors will Recover their Money of 100 cr and If Film Collects More then It then they will be In profit and If Dabangg 2 will Earn less then it Then there will Be Huge lost For Distributors Not For Makers they are already In Profit.

Khiladi 786 2nd Tuesday Collection Update

Khiladi 786 performed at a steady note on its 2nd Tuesday at the Domestic Box Office. The movie, that collected 11 crores on its 2nd weekend, continued to make some stable business today by adding more 1.5 crores in its kitty at the Domestic Box Office.

The Akshay Kumar starrer now stands at a domestic total of about 66 crores at the Box Office. Khiladi 786 however may find it hard to enter the Koimoi Top 10 2012 BoxOffice List, since it seems difficult for the movie to rake in big moolah due to Dabangg 2 release lined up in this week.

Bond Girl "Michelle Yeoh" wants to work with Shah Rukh

Actress Michelle Yeoh, best known for acting in multiple-Oscar winning film 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' and Bond film 'Die Another Day,' loves to deliver punches on screen but her ultimate desire is to pair with India's romantic idol King Khan.

Yeoh, whose science-thriller 'Babylon A D' released in Indian theatres recently is also hoping that the film would be liked in India.
"I know Shah Rukh Khan is quite famous in India and I would love to star opposite him. But unfortunately no calls yet. But, yes I wish I could get to work with him as a lead actress, be it a Hollywood or Indian film," says Yeoh. This Asian actress is a Bollywood fan too.

"I am an Asian and I like Indian films a lot. Have seen a couple of them in subtitles," Yoeh said in an email interview.Michelle Yeoh stars opposite Vin Diesel in 'Babylon A D,' which is set against the backdrop of not-too-distant future where much of the planet is in a war zone left by nuclear meltdowns.

In the film, Diesel is playing the character of an mercenary, who is assigned to smuggle a young woman Aurora (Melanie Thierry) from a convent in Kazakhstan to New York City with Sister Rebeka (Michell Yeoh) as Aurora's guardian.

"Kassovitz wanted a nun who could fight, so I was roped to play a feisty French nun, someone who could stand up to Vin, physically and mentally," Yoeh describes her character in the film.
The actress says she enjoyed playing the role of a fighter nun as she got the chance of doing what she loves best--kicking and punching.

"In one scene where I had to kick someone and by mistake I hurt him. I felt embarrassed as his nose just couldn't stop bleeding but somehow Vin controlled the situation," says Yeoh recalling the incident.

The actress is not ready to reveal much about her future plans though.
"There are 4-5 untitled projects in queue. Well 2009 might see a couple of biggies. I am keeping my fingers crossed. But I am very much concerned about 'Babylon A D's" success in India," she says.

Hrithik Roshan turns professor

A few days ago, Hrithik Roshan delivered what was apparently an inspiring lecture at Subhash Ghai’s film school, Whistling Woods International. Now, if all goes well, the actor should be putting on his professor’s hat again sometime next year. Apparently, the management has invited him again, and he is believed to have said yes.

“We have requested him to visit the school again, once the next session starts, and he has agreed. It’s not officially confirmed yet, since a lot will depend on his shooting schedule and availability. We would love to have him on campus, after he delivered such an awe-inspiring lecture,” says Meghna Puri-Ghai, president of the film school and daughter of Subhash Ghai. Hrithik’s interactive session was with a class of over 300 students. During this, he impressed not just the students, but also the faculty. “It was amazing to see Hrithik show techniques that an actor can use. By the end of the session, everyone was awestruck,” says Meghna.

But it remains to be seen if Hrithik can take time off for another session, since he will be busy next year with Siddharth Anand’s Knight And Day remake (that also stars Katrina Kaif), besides wrapping up the final leg of his father Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3.
